Possess the Land!

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples [examples]: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
(1 Cor. 10:11)

The Bible teaches us that what happened to those in the Old Testament happened as examples for us. For example, God delivered Israel out of Egypt, which symbolizes the world, and led them into Canaan's land. What does Canaan's land symbolize? 

In the early years, I was taught that Canaan's land was a type or foreshadowing of Heaven. But how could Canaan's land ever symbolize Heaven since there aren't going to be any battles or enemies in Heaven? There are no giants there who are against us, no cities to take, and no battles to fight in Heaven! 

I believe that Canaan's land is a type of the baptism in the Holy Ghost and of our rights and privileges in Christ Jesus, including divine healing. 

God said to Israel, "I give you the land" (Joshua 1:2), and when they crossed over Jordan into Canaan's land, God said, "Every place that the sole of your foot treads shall be yours" (Joshua 1:3). Although God said that He had given the land to them, He also said they had to possess it by walking through it and taking it. 

In the same way, God has given us as Christians the land—the blessing of God—but we have to possess it. Although He has provided healing for us, we must possess it. 

You can read the Bible and find out what is legally yours—what actually belongs to you—but until you accept it, until you possess it, it will never become yours to enjoy. So first, read the Bible to find out what is legally yours. Then possess those things so that they become a vital part of your life. 

Confession

I know that healing belongs to me because Jesus paid for my healing nearly two thousand years ago. As I go in and possess the land, I receive the healing that Jesus provided for me.

The Never-Failing Remedy of God's Word

(Mark 11:23)
The next morning, Dr. Yeomans and her sister fed their patients breakfast. Then Dr. Yeomans asked this particular woman if she had been saying what she told her to say.

She said, "Oh, it seemed like I didn't sleep but ten minutes last night. I must have said it ten thousand times, but it doesn't mean a thing in the world to me. I don't understand it."

Dr. Yeomans said, "That's all right, honey. You just keep saying it over and over again, every waking moment."

If people would work at receiving divine healing like they ought to, it would work for them. But so many times, they only do it half-heartedly and then go on thinking about something else. In that case, it won't work for them. They have to get down to business.

Well, on the third day, Dr. Yeomans went to this such woman's room again and read scriptures on the subject of healing to her for a solid hour. Then Dr. Yeomans said, "Are you still saying what I told you to say?"

She said, "Oh, yes, but it still doesn't mean a thing in the world to me. I'm not getting anything out of it." Dr. Yeomans again told her to just keep saying it.

At about 11:00 a.m. that same day, Dr. Yeomans and her sister were downstairs washing the breakfast dishes when they heard somebody upstairs shouting. They heard running footsteps, so they rushed out into the hall.

And there was the woman who had come in only two days before. She was rushing down the stairway, yelling, "Dr. Yeomans, did you know I no longer have TB?"

"Yes," she said. "I've been trying to tell you that for three days."

You see, it got down in her spirit. That's when God's Word works for you. God's Word never fails. That woman initiated healing for herself.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. 
(Gal. 3:13)
Dr. Yeomans had every scripture on the subject of divine healing marked in her Bible. For two hours, she sat next to this woman who had tuberculosis and read those healing scriptures to her.

Then at the end, she read Deuteronomy chapter 28 and Galatians chapter 3. She read them over and over again. Then she just read Deuteronomy 28:61 and Galatians 3:13.

Dr. Yeomans told the woman, "Every waking moment, say, 'According to Deuteronomy 28:61, sickness and disease is a curse of the Law. Tuberculosis is a curse of the Law. But according to Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the Law. Therefore, I no longer have TB.'"

The woman said, "But I don't understand it."

Dr. Yeomans said, "That's all right. You just say what I told you to say."

The woman began saying, "According to Deuteronomy 28:61, TB is a curse of the law. But according to Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore, I no longer have TB."

God Sent His Word To Heal You

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
(Ps. 107:20)

Dr. Yeomans and her sister were both doctors and had a beautiful home in southern California - actually a two-story mansion - which they turned into a "faith home." 

They would take patients into their home to get them healed by divine power, not by medicine. They could only handle four patients at a time because Dr. Yeomans traveled and taught most of the time. Her sister, Amy Yeomans, was the one who took care of the patients. 

What did they do to get people healed? They simply taught them from the Word of God. It wasn't the Holy Ghost initiating anything, such as a gift of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:9-11). The people were healed by initiating their own healing on the basis of their faith in the Word of God. 

In Dr. Yeomans' day, tuberculosis was the number-two killer in America. As soon as a patient was healed, the next applicant would be notified to come in as a "patient" - if he or she hadn't already died, because these people were all terminal cases. 

One particular woman who had tuberculosis was brought in and carried to an upstairs bedroom. Dr. Yeomans sat down by her bedside and said to her, "Just fold your hands and close your eyes and lie there. Relax and listen." Then she read to her from the Bible. 

Confession

God sent His Word to heal me. His Word is life to me and health and healing to all my flesh.

God Heals You Through Your Spirit

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
(Ps. 107:20)
As you say the following confession, notice what happens on the inside of you: God's Word works. Psalm 107:20 says, "He sent His Word and healed them," so I know He sent His Word and healed me. I no longer have ____________ [fill in the particular sickness or disease].

Did something start to leap and jump on the inside of you? That's your spirit getting excited. Your spirit knows you're on the right road.

Now your mind may not have grasped what you confessed. In fact, your mind may still be trying to get hold of what you said. Your head may be saying, "I don't understand it." But if you'll listen on the inside of you, you'll find that there's something down in there that's thrilled. Why? Your spirit knows the truth of your confession.

God's healing is spirit healing, not mental healing or physical healing as medical science teaches. God's healing is spirit healing, because He is a spirit.

God heals you through your spirit. He doesn't contact you through your mind, because He is not a mind. He doesn't contact you through your body, because He is not a man. He contacts you through your spirit. So when your head doesn't understand some things, your spirit will just be thrilled.

Confession

If you will make this confession every day your mind will begin to get in tune with your heart and you will be healed.

Most often, we do not realize how much our "self-talk" has to do with our lingering conditions, especially in our bodies.

Jesus said, in Mark 11:22-24, "22) And Jesus, answering, said to them, Have God's Faith. 23) Truly I say to you, Whoever says to this mountain, be taken up and be put into the sea; and has no doubt in his heart, but has faith that what he says will come about, he will have his desire. 24) For this reason I say to you, whatever you make a request for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it."

When you "believe something in your heart" you speak it. Doubt causes us to not speak. On man said; "fear is faith in what satan says."

So often we are quick to "talk" the negative things in our lives and as long as we "talk" them they will remain and may even grow worse. It's hard, sometimes, to talk positive over the negative, to speak things that are not into existence but we have to learn to speak our Faith.

Some would say; "but that is not being honest with yourself or others." According to the Word, that is "Speaking in God's Faith."

God's Faith involves speaking and, according to His Word, He has given us that same power through Faith in His name.

So guard what you allow to come out of your mouth and don't allow the enemy's words to fill your vocabulary, God has great things for you, allow Him to fill you and speak to your spirit.

Divine Healing

Divine Healing - What Is It?  

Divine Healing is healing by the spirit of God, exercised through the spirit of man.   Jesus, the Master Healer, not only healed Himself, but empowered His 12 disciples to perform the same ministry.  Divine Healing is an integral part of the Gospel.   Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers.   (Isaiah 53: 4,5; Matthew 8: 16, 17; James 5:14-16).   This healing virtue is available to all who believe.

Divine Healing – What Is It?

Many in the Church today, have had no systematic teaching on Divine Healing.  Divine Healing may be regarded as a manifestation of the Kingdom of God.  While the Kingdom of God will not manifest perfectly until Jesus comes, we can experience a large measure of its blessings in part.  Divine healing will always play a secondary role to the ministry of the basic gospel message of forgiveness and new life through the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Yet it is not a side issue.  It was a major part of the ministry of the one in whose steps we are called to walk.  Jesus suffered for us to enjoy the benefits of divine healing and health.  We must not despise the work of the Lord here.

Divine healing involves a supernatural act which resolves a physical, emotional or spiritual problem.  In a Christian context, the supernatural element is God, many times through the agency of the Holy Spirit.  Divine healing as taught in the Bible is not mind healing or Christian Science healing.  It is healing wrought by the direct power of God. Divine healing is available in modern times. We believe that healing comes by genuine faith. We also believe that one’s actions (such as sin in their life, their love for evil, hatred and an unwillingness to forgive and love their neighbor) can all hinder God’s answer to prayers and prevent God’s blessings.

Divine Healing – The Atonement

Divine healing and divine health are associated with the atonement of Christ.   He paid for our sins and sicknesses, therefore we do not need to carry them.  The Purpose of Divine Healing is to Glorify Jesus. In the Book of  Acts , we find three important truths we need to grasp: Jesus is still the Healer, Healing comes from Jesus alone, and the purpose of divine healing is  always  to glorify Him.

When it comes to divine healing this is a vital principle.  For God’s Word is life, health, and medicine to all your flesh.  • BELIEVE the Lord for divine healing.  Have FAITH  in His power and willingness to heal you.  James 5:14-15 presents God's plan for divine healing: "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up."

God gave the first recorded promise of divine healing soon after He brought the Israelites out of Egypt. He told them, "I am the LORD that healeth thee" (Exodus 15:26). Psalm 103:3 describes God as the One "who healeth all thy diseases".  There are three kinds of unbelief which hinder the flow of divine healing: personal unbelief, unbelief on the part of the ministers ( Matthew 17:20 ), and general community unbelief ( Mark 6:5 ,6). However, even in these circumstances, it is possible that God will do a work of divine healing anyway. He is Sovereign

A. B. Simpson formalized and stressed four basic doctrines: salvation, baptism in the Spirit, divine healing, and the second coming of Christ, which together became known as the 'full gospel.' Simpson and A. J. Gordon were among those who first began teaching that healing was part of Christ's atonement. Simpson's basic propositions mirrored those of Ethan O. Allen. He taught that sickness was a result of sin; that the atonement reversed the consequences of sin; and thus, healing for sickness was provided by the atonement. For Simpson, healing was a redemptive 'right' which we may simply 'claim' as our purchased inheritance as part of the complete redemption accomplished by Christ's death and resurrection. The promise of healing was there for all, only to be received by faith.

If the truth be told, those who say it is not God’s will to heal all, really have not studied the subject of divine healing.  They only look on the surface and never dig any deeper to see if their conclusions are correct.  The Bible has many different translations and there are some words that are incorrectly translated.  I understand people are human and they make mistakes, that is why I look up the Hebrew and Greek words to see what the actual meaning of the word is and then apply it by considering the evidence contained in the scriptures.

One must determine to study the scriptures with diligence and with an open mind in order to see what the Bible truly says about divine healing. It is true, according to scripture, that divine healing is for today. Check the scriptures out for yourself to see this truth.
